3D Gyro Compass

3D Gyro Compass - unbelievably realistic FREE compass app based on sensor fusion

Combines accelerometer, magnetometer and gyroscope sensor data with state-of-the-art AHRS algorithm to create fast, accurate and stable tilt-compensated compass that simply needs to be experienced with own eyes.

The app utilizes Rightware's leading Kanzi UI solution for smooth rendering with HW accelerated 3D graphics. There are two different themes to choose from: traditional style "Adventure" and modern "Marine".

Traditional style theme "Adventure".
"Adventure" mode can be zoomed in for viewing angle more precisely.

Marine mode contains a damped string suspension with modeled physics for rough conditions. No matter how you move the device, the compass ball just seems to be magically floating in the air.
"Marine" theme uses ball compass with modeled physics.

  1. Hi, I'm working on some sort of a "augmented reality" Application at the moment, and I'm trying to get the sensor fusion algorithmn to work, but my readings are very inaccurate - I can't get the compass, pitch and roll the be reliable. I've tested your application and it seems to work exactly the way I want mine to work - could you give me a hint on what library exactly you've been using? Or what other techniques?

    Thank you very much.

  2. Hello,

have you measuread what is faster, your sensor fusion implementation or Google SDK Rotation Vector sensor?

    Best regards,
    Alex
